While DPV produces two full-scale live concerts each year, we believe the art of performance begins in the very first lesson. Most students pick up an instrument because they were inspired by a song on the radio or a performer on stage; we honor that spark by using the music they love as the foundation for their education. By tailoring our instruction to how each student learns best, we ensure they achieve their goals while having fun. Our approach is inherently Montessori by design—putting the student’s passion and natural curiosity at the center of the experience

This is our Rockstar Roadmap.  10 Workbooks that gently guide a student through a structured curriculum designed to take them from absolute beginner to total musical independence.

  • Levels 1–5 | Play & Perform: We focus on getting you playing immediately. No "force-feeding" dry theory or sheet music before you're ready. (But don't worry—if you're a theory nerd or a band student, our Montessori-style approach means we’ll dive as deep as you want to go!)
  • Levels 6–9 | Understand: Once you’ve mastered 12+ of your favorite songs and truly bonded with your instrument, we start "digging our heels in." This is where we bridge the gap between playing by ear and understanding the "why" behind the music.
  • Level 10 | Create: You’ve got the skills; now it’s time for the world to hear your voice. This level is all about original songwriting and creative expression.


Level-up Lanyards

Think martial arts belts, but for Rockstars. As students conquer each workbook level, they earn a new color-coded lanyard—a physical VIP Backstage Pass to celebrate their progress.

Weekly progress updates

Weather your an adult student or a parent of one, you want to be well informed on progress and what's happening in each lesson. DPV Instructors give weekly updates through both email and a private portal. For parents, these notes include the lesson plan, what they did during the lesson, what progress or obstacles the instructor saw, as well as those little tidbits of info we don't usually get from our kids when they come home from school. Things like what an awesome day they had because of a compliment from a teacher. Or maybe that they had a rough day because of an interaction with a friend. Our owner made sure these types of weekly updates were top priority when setting up DPV Music Lessons!

We help facilitate intimate, low-maintenance concerts right from the comfort of your own home. It's a fantastic, stress-free way for students to share their progress with family and friends, building essential confidence in a safe, familiar environment before ever stepping under the big lights.

THE LIVE CONCERTS

  • The Main Stage Experience: When you are ready to truly rock, we give you the ultimate performance experience! Our full-production live concerts let students feel like genuine rockstars. You can choose to command the stage solo while playing to a professional backing track, or experience the electric, unforgettable energy of performing live alongside a full student and/or instructor backing band!

& Vacation Days

No "reschedule dance." If you miss a lesson, your instructor films a Custom Video Lesson, and uploads to student's portal, so momentum never stops. Plus, our 6 and 9 month terms include   Vacation Days, giving you the flexibility you need without losing the value of your tuition.

Risk-Free Rentals: We want you to ensure the right fit before making a major investment, which is why we offer comprehensive rentals to get students playing immediately. Our inventory includes:

  • Drums & Percussion: Choose from Acoustic or Electric kits, or specialized percussion rentals including 3-octave Marimbas with Snares.
  • Guitars & Bass: Both Electric and Acoustic options available. Both come "plug-and-play" ready, complete with amplifiers and all necessary cords.
  • Keys & Ukulele: Piano rentals include the stand and bench so you have a complete home studio setup from day one.
